[Where some people might think bringing up the topic of his deceased pet might make Sora sad... He's actually so incredibly happy that he could be a part of this next generation. He'd cried a little when Ekichi told him. They're like little pieces of Soya. He's happy.

He moves to sit down and the one who was peeping at Sora earlier immediately crawls into his lap. Long tail coils around a wrist and little tiny claws dig into his shorts. So clingy...!!]

I didn't know it was. I guess they're twins?

[As soon as Arden reaches out for the other one it lifts its head and sniffs quickly before it reaches to clasp its little claws around a finger.]

Whoa!

That sounded like a good 'whoa'?

[Arden supports the finger that got the little guy's attention and starts to lift while also offer his other hand in case they don't quite connect on this 'lift up' effort...

But another clawed foot goes for his second hand and so now he has the baby suspended about an inch off the ground.]

Maybe not as excitable as yours, but at least he's moving now, right?

[The one clinging to Sora peeps happily and tries to bat his little baby wings a few times as if trying to encourage his twin.]

Yeah! Look, he really likes you. And he finally stopped crying. You've got the right touch!

[Which means... His plan worked! The little one just didn't want Sora at all!]

Arden, do you want to keep him?

... Seriously?

[He accidentally holds the baby a little tighter, but then immediately loosens his grip so that it ends up feeling a bit more like a hug than a true squeeze.]

Sora, I mean... they're pretty important. And I've never taken care of an animal before - not even a flower.

[He's just afraid of screwing up and, by extension, giving Sora a new reason to get upset with him. To Arden, he's still trying to be cautious. It was his own emotions that nearly ruined everything - several times now - and he doesn't want that to happen again while also hurting a baby animal.]

It's pretty easy, [Sora says with a tilt of his head. This little one will be Sora's fourth wyvern to raise so he feels like he can say that with confidence.] they grow pretty quick but you got me to help you, and Roxas too. He has Tarn.

[The little one attached to Sora starts to wrap his tail around Sora's wrist. Sora laughs.]

Uhhh... I think this one has imprinted on me already. And with Arcadia and Lacus I don't know if I can take them both, you know? That one, he already seems to like you a little. I can't think of anyone else who'd be good for him.

[He really does think Arden is a good pick.]

[He shifts his hand so it's resting on his knee - not nearly as affectionate as Sora's, but then Arden doesn't mind either. It's just enjoying balancing on his hand.]

... I can try.

[Which for Arden is a big deal anyway.]

What are you going to call him?

[He tilts his chin towards the one at Sora's wrist.]

Great! [Sora beams happily.] As long as these two can stick together, too!

[Then he looks down at his little baby and ponders.]

Hmm... Good question. I haven't gotten to name a wyvern since Soya Sauce.

[Yes... Soya's full name was that. Because Zero made jokes about him being a steamed dumpling.]

Food names are cute...

Except I work at a bakery, Sora! I can't use food names! The poor guys would get confused.

[He looks out the window at the night sky.]

What about stars or constellations or something instead? There's gotta be two that are really close to each other, like these brothers. Or one that shines bright and one that's quieter.

[Food names are the best?? Sora frowns... But Arden's next idea does sound really good as an alternative.]

Hey, that might be really cool! We should go to the library later when it opens to see if they got any books on stars.

[Because he doesn't know any on the top of his head.]

[Arden smiles.]

Glad you like that idea. I bet there's some good names in there - you pick first and I'll find one to match.

[He taps the wyvern baby lightly on the top of his head.]

Does that mean it's back to bed now? Or do you think they need some kind of meal first?

[Sora smiles and scratches affectionately at his little one's back. It lets out a happy peep and its long tail swishes about.]

I think it's back to bed for now. They'll be hungry in a few hours so we can feed them then. I'm sure Arcadia will want to help.

[His oldest wyvern, adopted from Rei Hino, is very motherly.

Since it's still very early in the morning though, a few extra hours of sleep sounds good.]

[Arden stands up with his wyvern in tow, which peeps a little in surprise. He cups it in both hands, then spares one to open a Dark Corridor.

Then thinks better of it.]

Ah, right...

[And he heads for Sora's door to go the 'long way' back.]

[Naminé would join the KH household after her own home's celebration, and she came with a lot of gifts. She pulls Arden aside to give him his. The girl seems pretty nervous, but she's smiling.]

M-Merry Christmas Arden.

[When he opens it, he'll find a handmade charm. It's a collection of glass star shaped beads hanging off thin silver chains. It resembles shooting stars.]

I... I wanted to give you a real one. Something special. Ah.. I-I hope you like it!

[Wrapped up in a scarf with a dessert design are a very kitchen gadgets. He's not sure if Arden needs them, such as the rotary cheese grater, but they looked fun to him.]

[The Christmas gift on left in the kitchen window sill with a giant bow on it. And the Christmas card is left in Arden's room to find. It will direct him to an indoor herb garden so Arden can have fresh herbs and spices to cook with all year round. And a pet fish if he wants!]

[He's all grins when she pulls him aside.] Thanks, Naminé.

[Then he opens it up and at first is pretty stunned, pulling it out and inspecting it for several long seconds.]

It's... [Yep, he's stunned.] Wow...

[Finally, he comes back around to a smile again.] You're right. It's a real one. It's amazing!

[Arden is absolutely going to find an excuse to use a cheese grater. The scarf he'll wear to Sweetie Pies because Snow White will probably love it. Once he can put all of the items away properly, he grabs Roxas's gift in its gift bag and heads out to find his friend.]

[Arden's absolutely ecstatic about the herb garden. He also resists the urge to think that the fishtank bit would be a good place to put 'snacks' for Castor and Pollux.]

Yes! This is awesome!

[But then he gets an idea to return the favor. He installs Sora's gift while he's out and then leaves him a note in his room with instructions of his own. The gift is in the living room, near a corner on the ceiling. It includes three ropes leading away from it too, looking kind of like slack phone lines. A little nest/perch for Castor and Pollux and any other baby wyvern pals that come to visit.]

[Roxas can be found in any of his usual haunts. His room, somewhere in the house, the library, etc.]

[Not Christmas day, but Christmas Eve, Arden will find a pumpkin pie in front of his door. As well as a special baking spoon and . The box is special and makes sure it stays warm. Attached is a note.]

[It's the night before Christmas and a man in red has come to Arden's residence, not to steal, but to leave presents! It's rather late at night, when people should be asleep though, as he's not supposed to get caught. The gifts will have a tag included saying "From Santa".

His gift comes with a scarf, a yo-yo and some bad romance novels, courtesy of Mrs. Bradley and Milla Maxwell.

With his his task complete, he'll soon disappear into the night...]

[Machina doesn't quite get this holiday, but he's making a level effort at the gift giving aspect anyway. Since Arden's the cook of the household, a brand new cast-iron skillet is delivered.]

[Waiting for Arden come Christmas morning is a bag of cookies and a cookbook of Verens famous recipes. Attached is a simple note:]
