KH3 Spoilers; Empatheias Canon Update Question
I'm basing my question off of this previously approved Canon Update for Takashi Shirogane from Voltron. I've also taken to comparing it to being a Force Ghost in Star Wars.
During the events of Kingdom Hearts 3, Riku Replica seemingly ends up a ghost on par with Shiro's situation. For Shiro, the only time anyone could see him was when they were entering a certain kind of mindspace the Lions shared; for Repliku, he seems to only be visible to Riku the entire duration of the game. Neither Sora nor Kairi seem to notice Repliku's presence. He can float in/out of a visual overlay with Riku's body and hold conversations with Riku though, so he does have his own agency.
Repliku's original game is re:Chain of Memories (re:CoM) and his original canonpoint is the end of that, at the time of his "death." Repliku himself explains what happened to him after that, during a scene on the Destiny Islands beach in KH3. He fell into the Realm of Darkness (his "death" in re:CoM) and, afterwards, Repliku describes it as "my body fell to ruin and the Darkness took my broken mind." Collective wisdom of my cast and others who played KH3 have decided that his body falling "to ruin" means his old replica body eventually stopped working. This is because the original replica bodies - the ones created during re:CoM / before KH3's events, namely Xion's and Repliku's - were imperfect, according to discussions amongst the KH3 villains. The replica bodies made for the KH3 villains ("Vessels") are a better fit for a Heart in the KH 'verse.
The "broken mind" that Repliku speaks of is thus the piece of him that finds Riku early in Kingdom Hearts 3. Riku describes Repliku's presence as a kind of tagalong; I like to think of Riku as an anchor for Repliku's Heart/Mind. In KH3, Repliku emerges from the Realm of Darkness to tie himself to Riku, since Repliku doesn't have his own body anymore. It's kind of a dormant possession where Repliku can see what's going on around his anchor, but not control them.
What I'm proposing that I wanted advance permission for includes the following while he's in this Force Ghost situation:
All that said, I don't actually want him to stay in this Force Ghost situation forever - probably not longer than a month, actually. Riku's dialogue in his final scene with Repliku implies that Repliku could have simply taken over the Vessel and largely been returned to his former state, his "normal" that he had in Empatheias when I apped him.
Lastly, BEFORE he gets his body back, I would be interested in an (optional) wide-scale impacting mini-event. I've been talking about this with my castmate who plays Vanitas about having a clash of Darkness powers, since Arden/Repliku is more powerful / has a stronger ability to affect Vanitas while in Force Ghost form. (The end goal is getting Vanitas into a state where he can interact more with the cast in a trending-positive way, but the Darkness kids have a tendency to need to pummel each other first before they'll listen to reason, much to Sora's chagrin.) I can provide more details about that, I just wanted to know if that was an option for March?

- Repliku needs an Anchor at all times in the game in this state; that Anchor would serve as his 'body' and that person also needs to hang onto his Amulet for him.
- Repliku could communicate with the Crystalnet only in a "joint post" style where it would have to be through the combination of his Anchor using their amulet while speaking with Repliku.
- In-person, the only people who could see him are those tied to Aiada and those with a strong tie to Darkness - not necessarily someone evil and not just KH style Darkness. Star Wars' "Dark Side of the Force" would also qualify. These same 2 groups of people are also the only ones eligible to become his Anchor.
All that said, I don't actually want him to stay in this Force Ghost situation forever - probably not longer than a month, actually. - Could he use a Regain to get one of these Vessels / ver2.0 Replica bodies? Alternatively, could a scientist PC in Verens make him one?
- Provided that somehow he does get a new body, can I be assured that I'm allowed to put him back into that body and return him to a "Normal" state. I would be okay with all attempts to revive him not working until somehow he's reconnected with Amulet, for example, but after that happened then all is good. I don't know if you mods would like to be informed of this happening or not?
